External Expert Advisory Board

The role of the External Expert Advisory Board is to assess the direction of the QuRIOUS project and give advice and support on project wide activities of research, training, development, innovation, implementation, collaboration and dissemination. The Board consists of the following members:

Prof. Tanja Mehlstäubler 

Professor Tanja Mehlstäubler is Head of the Department “Quantum Clocks and Complex Systems” at PTB and Professor at Leibniz University Hannover. Her research focuses on new methods for quantum science with laser-cooled ions, precision measurements and sensing and the development of scalable trapping platforms. She is known for pioneering work on topological defects and dynamics of ion systems, precise tests of relativity, spectroscopic search for new physics and the invention and development of the multi-ion “crystal” clock. Tanja is a highly cited researcher and serves on the board of the Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers and the Leibniz Institute of Photonics Technology in Jena. She is elected member and speaker of the AMO review board of DFG.
