FEMTO-ST
|
The superradiant laser lab at FEMTO-ST benefits from FEMTO-ST expertise in the development of ultra-stable frequency references and is part of the Oscillator-IMP, REFIMEVE+ and T-REFIMEVE equipex (phase-noise characterization of oscillators and ultra-stable frequency and time dissemination). The superradiant lab is dedicated to the development of a continuous superradiant laser based on cold Yb atoms for metrological applications.

- Marion Delehaye does time and frequency metrology with cold atoms. After some research experience in Melbourne with Chris Vale, she did her PhD in 2016 at ENS Paris with Christophe Salomon and Frederic Chevy on the topic of mixtures of ultracold Bose and Fermi gases. She then worked as a postdoc on a compact single-ion clock with Clément Lacroûte and was recruited by CNRS in 2018 to start an ytterbium superradiant laser experiment at FEMTO-ST, Besançon, France.

C. Lacroûte is a CNRS researcher and a member of the Oscillators, Clocks, Metrology and Systems team of the Time and Frequency department within the FEMTO-ST institute in Besançon. His research interests include light-matter interaction, time and frequency metrology and atomic clocks. Current researches include the realization and characterization of ultra-stable optical frequency references and the development of a single-ion optical clock.
